By purchasing a song or chorus role, you commit to:

  • Performing on June 17, 2018
  • Raising the required funds before the show date
  • Attending all rehearsals
  • Attending tech and dress rehearsals
  • Paying the registration fee of $50.00 (non-refundable, plus taxes ), 

The Segal Centre will support you in your efforts to meet your fundraising goals with a sample email to send to your prospective sponsors and a link on our web page to announce your not-to-be-missed debut!

In order to shine like the star you are, please make every effort to attend all scheduled rehearsals. We understand that life sometimes gets in the way and we ask that you advise the stage manager as soon as you know of any conflicts. In order to ensure an amazing experience for you and the audience, we will have to ask anyone who misses more than three rehearsals to leave the show. Should this arise, registration fees and any donations raised cannot be refunded.


Starting Sunday, January 28, 2018, rehearsals will be held twice a week on:

  • Sunday evenings at 7:00 PM 
  • Monday evenings at 7:30 PM 
         * Meet & Greet on the first day of rehearsal
       ** No rehearsal during spring break (March 5 - 19, 2018),  Easter / Passover (April 1 & 2, 2018) and on Shavuot               (May 20 & 21, 2018)

Cast members will be assigned specific rehearsal times as needed, or be asked to come to full company rehearsals. You will not be required to attend every Sunday and Monday rehearsal. A monthly rehearsal schedule will be assembled doing our best to respect everyone's time and availability. 

The tech and dress rehearsals will take place the week of June 11, 2018


What does it mean to be in the ensemble?

The ensemble sings in the group numbers as well as other numbers as decided by the Director and based on scheduling and availability.

What does it mean to be a dancer?

The dancers' dance in the group numbers as well as other numbers as decided by the Director and based on scheduling and availability.

What happens if I don't make my fundraising goal?

In participating in the musical fundraiser you commit to raising your pledged amount. We make every effort to make sure it is not stressful, give you the tools and support you need to ensure that you reach your goal. If you have difficulty reaching your goal, let us know and we will help facilitate the process.

What if I have no experience?

That's OK! In fact, that is what we are here for... for you to have a great time! Our experienced professionals will help you shine, and make sure you are comfortable and excited to perform. All you need is enthusiasm and the willingness to try something new.

How many rehearsals will I have and how big is the time commitment?

Rehearsals take place Sundays and Mondays. You will not be required to attend every rehearsal, only for the songs that you are participating in. The more songs you are in, the more rehearsals you will need. All participants will be required to participate in the technical and dress rehearsals.  Every effort will be made to respect your availability.

Do I get any tickets to the show?

When you reach your goal you receive two (2) tickets to the show.

*Do donors get tickets to the show? 
A donation ranging from $250 to $500 will include one (1) ticket to the show, $500 or more will include two (2) tickets. If a donor wishes to wave his/her ticket a full tax receipt will be issued. All other tickets can be purchased via the Segal Centre web site at or by calling the box office at 514.739.7944.
*Official tax receipts will be issued for the maximum amount allowable as per CRA policy.
